Protagonists

There are nine playable protagonists in The Quarry, consisting of a group of camp counsellors, who stay at Hackett's Quarry during the summer. They are spending their last day at camp partying, or trying to get some romance while they still have time, not knowing something else stalks them from afar. They all have diverse personalities and interactions with one another, how they evolve and shape by the end of the game is up to you. The player will be able to control all 9 of them and follow them on their journey throughout the night, all of their fates are in your hands!

Laura Kearney

A resourceful and curious veterinarian student who loves to explore everything around her, maybe too much. She is going to Hackett's Quarry to spend a nice, relaxing, and quiet time with the people she cares about the most. But when everything goes down hill, will you be able to save her from the horrors at Hackett's Quarry?

Max Brinly

A carefree and classic comedian who excels at making jokes that can make those around him laugh! His bright and optimistic attitude along with his friendly demeanor, he just wants to have a good time, so he might as well share that attitude with everyone else as well! But when everything goes to hell, will you be able to save him during the worst of times?

Abigail Blyg

A shy bookworm, Abigail has always been seen writing something down or reading something nobody really wants to read! Her socially awkward nature has made it difficult for her to get comfy with those she cares about, but as summer comes to a close, she is dying to finally get some romance. But when night falls and somethings lurks in the trees, will you be able to save her from the dangers of the forest?

Kaitlyn Ka

An eccentric party girl that lives for making other people around her get comfortable! She just wants to live loud, proud, and have a wonderful time at camp! Her easygoing nature has made her the de facto leader of her friend group, and she is willing to protect them if any of them gets harmed, whether by animals or something else. But when things take a dark turn, will you be able to save her from the creature of nightmares?

Nicholas Furcillo

A nerdy and shy jock sounds like an odd combination, but Nick proves that he can fill that role in the group quite well! Although his stoic personality has made it hard for him to drop his guard around people, but maybe one day, he can drop that high guard and finally be able to share his interests to those around him, and maybe with a special someone if he gets a chance. But as night falls, will you be able to save him from the terrors of this paranormal camp?

Emma Mountebank

A fabulous actress, trendy girl, and documentarian who never fails to socialize with people, with a smile that can turn frowns upside down, who can't resist her charms? She is almost always seen with her phone, chatting with people, telling stories, or documenting areas that might be too dangerous for most, her popularity at camp has never been higher! But as the ocean darkens, will you be able to save her from things that lie below the surface?

Ryan Erzahler

A moody and gothic counsellor who's down to tell scary stories that nobody has ever of around a campfire, his weird music taste, podcasts, and awkward mannerisms has made him seen as weird by most people although he is trying his best to prove himself to others. But with a personality such as that combined with him having a heart of a hero, he really does seem like a cliché stereotype! But when the sun goes out, will you be able to save him from bizarre things he has only heard from in his stories?

Dylan Lenivy

As the edgy radio host over the camp's PA system, along with his odd but humorous personality makes him a sight to behold by everyone who meets him! His outward and laughable outside persona can make others love his goofy traits which make him a lovable part of his friend group. Although on the inside, a very different person shows their true colors which he makes sure to hide but possibly show during the right moment, for now though, he's fine just the way he's seen as! But when night falls and you hear footsteps outside the door, will you be able to save him from the dangers of creepy outsiders?

Jacob Custos

The enthusiastic, egotistical, and self-centered jock is the embodiment of Jacob! As the strong, brawn, and bursting personality jock of his friend group, who wouldn't love to be near Jacob once in a while? All he wants to do is to see his friends happy and make them feel belong, he isn't always that typical cliché you see at first glance, but is genuinely fun to be around no matter the place! But when the world turns barren, will you be able to save him from what lurks in the night?

Supporting Characters

There are six supporting characters in The Quarry, consisting of a group of adults with varied ages and jobs, they are characters that the player has no control over and how they act around you will be determined by your actions. Whether they will be angry, confused, concerned, or dismissive, is entirely up to you and your choices when you interact with them.

Chris

Chris is the happy and free spirited owner of "Hackett's Quarry", he makes sure that everything is going swell at the camp, along with operating the camp's safety. He makes sure everyone can look up to him when they need help, being the father-figure everyone knows they can be safe around, he just wants to enjoy his life and the wilderness around him!

Travis

An unnerving sheriff of North Kill, Upstate New York, he makes sure everyone can be safe while visiting his town or while he visit's "Hackett's Quarry". His creepy mannerisms and odd behavior has made him a weird figure to talk to, but he does his job well and there is no complaint in that! Although, some worry what he does outside of his line of work....

Character Interactions

Character Interactions are unique interactions that involve two specific characters who have more history than most others. They have more chemistry, screen time, and are more fleshed out, they usually correspond to characters who have more meaningful relationships. Their character interactions can either go sour or become more blissful throughout The Quarry based on your actions.

Max and Laura

Max and Laura are a couple, who, at the beginning of the game, drive to camp one night early to explore Hackett's Quarry before things go haywire and their night becomes a test on how loyal they are to each other. Even the most healthiest of relationships such as theirs, can go south given the right circumstances. Will the two lovebirds stay together and support one another during their time of need? Or will it be every man for themselves?
